Summer Reading

The worst part about being in an advanced English class is the summer reading lists. The man loves to put alot of the classics on there. I'll admit that some are good, but most of them either really boring or really sad. Here was my list this year.
A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare
I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou
Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck
Anthem by Ayn Rand
Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd
I liked Secret Life of Bees, Anthem, and a Midsummer Nights's Dream. The others just need to burn.

Ahh! I should have known you'd have a blog.... And I can't believe you didn't enjoy Maya Angelou. Love that book. However, I completely agree that you may burn all books by Steinbeck. The man is so depressing. I can't handle it.
